You see two hands and 88 keys. I see potential.

WHO AM I?

Royal Conservatory – Certified Elementary to Advanced Specialist for Piano and for Elementary to Intermediate Theory

The piano has been magic to me since I was a small child. My teachers used the Royal Conservatory of Toronto method.
As a teen, I played in rock bands and as a young adult moved to Edmonton to study jazz piano. When I returned home to Lethbridge, I worked to get my Associate with the Royal Conservatory (ARCT). I have been teaching and learning from my students for 47 years now. It is what I love to do.
I am proud to be a member of LRMTA, ARMTA and CFMTA. You can find more information on their sites. They continue to provide me with on-going professional development and events for my students to participate in. Like my students, I never stop learning.
My students are of all ages and abilities. Some take the Royal Conservatory levels and some are just there for their own enjoyment.
Going to yoga classes over the years has influenced how I approach teaching. Teaching how to practice and preventing repetitive strain injuries  are an ongoing project of mine.

As an LRMTA member, I undergo a police vulnerable sector check every five years.

IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO LEARN TO PLAY THE PIANO

Ask me about lessons for adult students.

A comfortable space to have intimate, small performance groups or larger performances for special occasions. We have a lot of fun with seasonal events and preparing for performances for festivals, workshops and other events.
Not everyone wants to perform for large groups so lessons depend on individual needs.
I’ve taken everything I have learned over the years and combined it into an approach that is friendly, approachable and effective.

I AM LUCKY TO HAVE A LARGE, PROFESSIONAL STUDIO AT HOME WITH A SEPARATE ENTRANCE AND NO DISTRACTIONS.

I am happy to teach students of all levels and abilities from beginners to level 10 RCM.
